#1: He started his singing career as a choir boy
Yes, the famous rebel used to be a choir boy at St. Peter’s church. Lennon was also a boy scout!
#2: John got his driver's license at the age of 24, becoming the last Beatle to start driving a car
Lennon was an awful driver. In 1969, Lennon had a bad accident while driving his Aston-Martin in a trip to Scotland with children and his wife, Yoko Ono. Following this episode, Lennon gave up driving and always used a chauffeur.
#3: He was the only member of the legendary band not to turn vegetarian
George Harrison stopped eating meat in 1965. Paul McCartney turned vegetarian a few years later, still remaining one of the most famous veggies in the world. Ringo Starr became a vegetarian because of some health problems. Lennon also had some attempts, but always ended up eating meat.
#4: An iconic singer loved by millions, he hated his own voice.
He even usually asked the producer to cover the sound of his voice on the records with additional effects.
#5: He was extremely keen on Monopoly!
John even had his own Monopoly set and could play everywhere - on the road, in the hotel or on a plane.
#6: Lennon's last photo was taken a few hours before his assassination
In this photo, John is signing an album to Mark David Chapman, the man who was soon to murder him.
#7: Lennon was raised by his aunt, who never encouraged his guitar playing.
Aunt Mimi said it was impossible to earn living by it.
#8: Lennon was also fond of cooking
Sometimes John would cook dinners for the entire concert team!
#9: When pregnant Yoko Ono was in the hospital, John stayed on a bed next to her overnight and held her hand
#10: Lennon hated the dark
He even left the light on while sleeping.
