Don’t think. Hippos sleep that long in the sun they get sunburn very easily,maybe sleep in water for most of daylight, as they eat at night .

Knew these animals were sleepers but had no idea how many hours per day! Think my cat sleeps about 22 hours daily and awake when I want to sleep!
