Rare animals you might not have time to see before they go extinct

In our modern world many animals are endangered or threatened with extinction. Some of them have lost their homes, others can't stand the changing environmental system of the Earth. Actually, we've never even heard of some species. So let's enjoy the company of these animals today.

The sunfish does not mistake jelly fish for plastic bags. It mistakes plastic bags for jelly fish.

Heartbreaking that these beautiful creatures could soon become extinct, thanks for sharing.

Their disappearance will be and is solely the responsibility of humans. Will my grandchildren ever see such creatures - sadly I very much doubt it. You could also have added the black and white rhinos in South Africa and even elephants whose numbers have shrunk horrifically in the last 10 years. Rhino numbers are being decimated at an appalling rate yet they still allow hunting in South Africa!!!!

Very interesting. But makes me sad. I am sure humans are responsible for the diminishing population of many of these animals.

It is very sad indeed that we are losing our jewels because of pollution, poaching, climate change.

Shame on us for accepting such shameful loss without fighting like hell to prevent it.Can we not see how our greedy push to keep multiplying is the root cause of so much loss . Guess all we can do is “ pray “” ( ie do nothing!!) . Shame ! Shame !

As for the sunfish, I think they meant to say that they mistake plastic bags for jellyfish, not the other way around.

These animals are beautiful and worth saving. Why do countries where these animals exist turn their backs on them and try to help them to prosper. As far as I'm concerned there are many more known animals that are near extinction and one of them are humans. Perhaps if there weren't so many humans that hunt and kill these animals for money the would have a chance. Even dogs aren't safe in some countries. It makes me physically ill.

Kathryn Cavanagh, agree totally. I noted one animal lived on TERMITS? TERMITES I assume but sorely needed editing!
