These exotic animals should not be caught or bought as pets for people. They belong outdoors in nature where they live a natural life! People should respect their right to be free.

As wild animals they should not be kept as pets .However as humans are the people that regularly shoot them in the name of sport tear down their habitat for the greed of farming which usually destroys the land anyway. I lived. Not far from London Zoo and always wanted to be a. Keeper .Not to be ....I spent many years visiting not realising cages were to small in those days but without them many exotic beasts would never be seen by us...all very well reading and looking at pictures ... not the same . Over the years I've kept my share of dogs cats birds etc all these animals were once wild creatures until humans tamed them ,how many humans keep dogs in tiny flats . Which is cruel at my age now I would love a dog again but now live in a flat I'm wheelchair bound so out of the question . There are many exotic animals I would like to keep including .Trantulas , snakes etc but under the circumstances it's a no no .I used to have a large garden with a massive aviary people would bring animals they found in distress.. owl hit by a car rook that fell or was pushed out of its nest featherless hand reared when I tried releasing Feathers it wouldn't leave roosted in a box on top of aviary ...still wanted to be hand fed . a polecat that must have escaped had a collar on starving nursed him gave him the chance to leave also wouldn't go Hope I have not bored you all who read this . Bye

There are reasons they are called wild, and not domesticated.

Nikole Gesualdi, I had a pet racoon I bottle fed as it was orphaned. When they reach maturity, they go off to be wild raccoons, as they should. Mine was never caged.

I wouldn't want any of them. However, I had an uncle who had a pet raccoon. As it always washed its food, he would tease it by giving it a sugar cube - of course when he washed it it disappeared. Cruel but funny.

Dave Walser, Thank you for the animal stories. Maybe, you could share a pet with another family near you. You could watch it while they are at work or school, and they could walk with both of you sometimes. Thank you, Christine, James's wife
