Wish I could go back to the days when I really READ books.....sure, computers & phones have made things faster but I do feel that we (and I) are missing a lot of things as we have reduced (or almost completely cut off) reading books from our lives. Maybe my thoughts & I are old-fashioned.

I love to read. UI would rather read than watch tv. I usually read 3 or 4 books a week. Since I'm in a nursing home I don't have much else to do.

I haven’t read a book for two years and I am retired. Not good for the averages

That is weird! I read more than 4 books a week! I have been an avid reader since the age of 7. Of course my taste in reading material has changed several times over the years. Right now I read mostly from my e-reader since I can make the print larger, but I still love books!

I'm retired, so I spend a LOT of time reading--four or five books a week is standard. I do some light mysteries for a break between heavy stuff. I'm currently on Darwin's Origin of Species. Next is Des Carte and then a re-read of Heinlein's Stranger In A Strange Land. Interesting that the Church of All World's was founded on Heinlein's book and it freaked him out so bad that he withdrew it from print for about 20 years, I'm told! READ ON!

Almost always read myself to sleep at night so the relaxation effect does work. Intrigued by the E-reader versus paper, I use an E-reader at night because I don't lose my page when I drop off and drop the book/reader.

I must have a book being read along with one or two, waiting for me. I typically read one or two bonks per week. I am also known to reread books that we’re especially a great read. 12 books a year is ridiculous!!

Suzanne Wilson, I got a Kindle when we were planning a month-long trip to Germany (family wedding) and Ireland (touring with friends). It saved weight in my suitcase and carry-on luggage. But when I got home I reverted to "real" books with paper pages.

I read every evening before I sleep. Really relaxes and helps to clear mind of disturbing thing in these trying times. I prefer books also, but always have a current book going on my Kindle.

I read at least 2 books a week. I prefer the turning the page of a paperback but must admit due to convenience I have been reading on a Ipad.
