The wolves and dogs ones are not surprising to anyone who has lived with dogs ( who are a subspecies of wolf) my dog howls when I leave him and goes frantic with excitement when I return. Didn't know about the parrots even though the picture is of Budgies! I've seen, in documentaries, that elephants also treat the skeletons of other elephants with respect much the same way that humans (in the west) do with human remains.

Ants do not keep aphids as pets....they farm them in order to milk their sap.

Apes get embarrassed when they are showing off but come unstuck. Chimp older siblings get jealous of the new baby and act up trying to get mummy attention..They are so our cousins

Steve Tingle, I just Googled and parakeets and budgies are one and the same. We call them parakeets in the U>S>, but the rest of the world calls them budgies or budgerigars. :)

Steve Tingle, Those looked like parakeets to me. My parents used to have a green one like the one in the picture. He could say several things. T he lady at the pet shop said never put anything shiny in his cage, or anything where he could see his reflection, or he'll never talk, he'll just coo at his reflection because he thinks it's another bird. And only males talk. :)

Animals can be vicious; rather like humans. Good job they haven't got the technology we have...

James Williams, In fact they are parrots. The budgerigar is a long-tailed, seed-eating parrot usually nicknamed the budgie, or in American English, the parakeet.
