#1 Winged cats
The earliest record of a winged cat sighting was by Henry David Thoreau after encountering one in the woods. While some winged cats do have actual extra appendages, most winged cats simply have long matted fur. In some countries, winged cats have been killed because they were viewed as the messengers of the devil.
Froggy was discovered in the garden of Green Umbrella Nursery in the UK in 2004. The frog has a total of 3 heads and 6 legs. It was initially thought to be 3 frogs grouped together. Froggy’s deformity may be due to parasites, genetic mutation, or pollution from the decommissioned nuclear power plant.
#3 The Octogoat
Farmer Zoran Poparic had to call a neighbor to confirm his sanity when he first came upon Octogoat. The kid was born with 8 legs and both male and female organs along with two other goats that were completely normal. Veterinarians have speculated that the other set of legs could be from an undeveloped twin that fused with Octogoat.
#4 Сat with two faces
Frank and Louie is a two faced, three-eyes cat with a condition known as diprosopia. Most cats afflicted with this condition die within days of being born. However, Frank and Louie turned 12 in 2011. The cat eats with Frank’s face since Louie’s is not connected to the esophagus, and they share one brain.
#5 Pink dolphins
This pink dolphin was discovered in a Louisiana lake near the Gulf of Mexico in 2007. While it appears pink, the dolphin is actually an albino whose lack of grey coloring gives it a pink hue. In total, there have been three sightings of pink dolphins since 1962 as their unique coloring would inhibit their survival.
#6 Cyclops shark
This shark was caught by a commercial fishing crew in 2011, off the coast of Baja California Sur, Mexico. It was a fetus inside his mother-shark. The shark fetus was albino and had one large eye centered in its face. Some people thought that this picture was photoshopped, but scientists have confirmed that such a mutation happens in sharks.
#7 Stumpy, the 4-legged duck
When Stumpy hatched on a farm in Britain in 2007, his four legs were immediately noticed by scientists. His blood was taken in order to study mutations in his DNA, in hopes that it might help humans in the future. Stumpy has since lost his extra-legs and in their place he has a stump where each extra-led used to be.
#8 Puppy with a trunk for a nose
This is an uncommon case where a mutation can be considered a plus. This is Toby, the German Shepherd, a dog with two noses that wasn’t put down because of its new owner. Todd Ray adopted him. He loves his dog with these particularities.
#9 Transparent frog
Think you’ve seen it all so far? Just take a look at this transparent frog! No doubt, reality is stranger than fiction. That’s crazy but don’t confuse them with the species which is a regular frog with a transparent body. This one, on the contrary, is almost totally translucent. You can see its organs, skeleton, and even beating hearts. Many scientists think this frog is the result of pollution.
