Science Story: These 7 impressive math tricks will blow your mind

Math can be fun, and even some simplest equations and rules may surprise you. Prepare a calculator and try these funny tricks with numbers. Attention: some of them are hacks that can be highly useful in your everyday life!

Science Story: Think of any three-digit number in which each of the digits is the same, such as 222 or 888. Add the digits together. Divide the three digit number by this number. The answer is 37.

Science Story: "How I wish I could calculate pi." Count the number of letters in each word of this sentence, and it will give you the first seven digits of π. 3.141592

Science Story: Select a number from 1 to 6. Multiply the number by 9. Multiply it by 111. Multiply it by 1001. Divide the answer by 7. The answer will contain the digits 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, and 8.
Did it work? What was your first number?

Science Story: Take a number. Double it. Add 9. Subtract 3. Divide by 2. Subtract your original number. Your answer should be 3.

Science Story: An easy trick to multiply two double digit numbers: Subtract each number from 100. Add these values together. 100 minus this number is the first part of the answer. Multiply the digits from Step 1 to get the second part of the answer.

Science Story: If you multiply 6 by an even number, the answer will end with the same digit. The number in the tens place will be half of the number in the ones place.
6 x 4 = 24
6 x 6 = 36
6 x 2 = 12

Number seven should be multiply first digit by itself, then add the first digit to that product and then put 25 at the end. For example, 45*45=2,025, 4*4=16+4=20, add 25 to the end and you get 2,025. It works every time!

#2: May I have a large container of coffee, madam. This gives 3.14159265, Pi to 9 digits. As to #5, I tried 2 different 2-digit numbers 6 times, and couldn't get anywhere near the results that were suggested.

Also - to represent pi (3.14159265) as a fraction instead of 22/7 which works out as 3.1428571 correct to only 2 decimals - try 355/113 = 3.14159292 correct to within 3 parts per 10 million!
