#1 Of course it's a balcony... or a window?
#2 Meet the resident monitor. His job comes with the perk of using the pool.

I could read the sign in number 4. It says: ‘Live in the sunshine, swim in the sea and breathe the wild air.’ Great advice I would have thought.

This isn't about a hotel, but a motel that my husband and I stayed in. We were on our honeymoon and stopped for the night at a motel. When I went to the bathroom I found a plant of some kind growing out of the wall next to the toilet. The shower wasn't much better and we slept on top of the covers afraid to pull them down for fear of finding them filthy. We had a very uneasy night all around. That was in the northern part of Tennessee, I think. Its been many years since then, May of 1971.

Some of these were really funny! The lizard would have freaked me out & I would never open my door let alone take a swim.
Hotels have been known to advertise amenities that aren't really as good as they sound but some of these are ridiculous! The brick wall outside the patio door was the worst with the balcony coming in at a close second. The one about Braille was just awful. Makes me wonder if it was in a foreign country & there was a communication problem.

The Braille one was designed by the guy who also designed the Braille ATM drive-through. The monitor lizard isn't quite enjoying his natural habitat unless he went to MIT. The lobby decor in #9 made me throw up in my mouth.

I stayed in a pension in Spain that had no window, a ceiling fan that sounded like a helicopter landing and a toilet that didn't flush. We went to sleep on the beach. Free, more air & cleaner lol
