When you were little someone took the time to teach you how to eat: chew each bite 3 times for good digestion; broccoli will help you grow big and strong; and, perhaps everyone’s least favorite meal time rule — dessert comes after dinner. Of course, by now you might think you’ve mastered the art of enjoying a good meal, but is that really true?

#2 To squeeze twice as much juice from lemons or limes, put them in your microwave for 10 seconds.
#3 It’s quite difficult to peel your ginger with a knife, that’s why use a spoon. Spoon your ginger and you’ll be left with a beautiful piece of peeled ginger and almost zero waste.
#4 To peel garlic, you don’t need to cut it in pieces. Just smash it on a cutting board with the blade of your knife. Believe me, it’s much faster and more exciting.
#5 Save your bananas! Wrap the tops in plastic wrap or aluminum foil and they will last up to 5 days longer! Useful if you only grocery shop on the weekends or just like to eat your bananas a little greener.
#6 Never waste a precious drop of your Nutella again. Instead, pour warm milk into the dregs of the jar to create Nutella hot chocolate and happiness.
#7 After cutting into a cake, use toothpicks to cover the exposed portion with a piece of bread to keep a cake nice and soft.
#8 Use a colander to prepare the remaining bits of cereal from a box/bag.
#9 Prevent tomatoes from rotting quickly by putting them upside down.
#10 Dental floss can perfectly cut soft solids
#11 The bottom of J.Lohr (as well as any similar shaped wine bottle) makes a great press for homemade ravioli.
#12 Try the lemon method under the salmon to avoid burning your fish
#13 Store your fruit salad in a strainer inside a larger bowl. It keeps the fruit above the juices, and you can just take the strainer out and dump the juice out of the bowl into a glass! every so often. The fruit stays fresh much longer!
#14 Keep some white grapes in the freezer. You can use them as ice cubes in your white wine, and when you finish, you get to eat a wine-infused grape!
