6 unexpected ways to use coffee besides drinking

In Kenya as kids we used to eat the coffee cherries as fruit and throw away the 'seed'. I am a tea drinker. You can also use black tea, make ice cubes and feed your orchids one /day. they love it. I do love the smell of coffee. There is about 40% more caffeine in coffee than tea, and it gets in your system faster.

Used coffee (after the drip, what is in the basket ) is great to keep the mosquitos away. Take the used grinds allow them a day or two to dry out then dry roast or toast this on a pan till start to smell the coffee. take this toasted coffee put it in small uncovered containers where ever the mosquitos are and wow they leave and stay away for a very long time.. Double use for the expensive delicious bean....

Some time ago,I spent a while in Chiapas State in Mexico. Where I stayed was a Coffee plantation, and I drank the best Coffee ever. When I left, the Owner gave me 10 kilos of the darkest roast he had. It was very good Coffee and was sold just over the River from the Town where I lived.

Birgit Ruping, I had some raise beds that I fertilized with a compost that was mostly coffee grounds. Not only did the plants like it, but, once digging in the bed, I came across a large, plump and remarkably strong worm. So it seems that the worms must enjoy their coffee grounds, too.
