Every year in the Black Rock Desert (Nevada, USA) a temporary city is built. It is called Black Rock City, the city where the Burning Man Event is held.

The climate here is far from being mild. Hot winds bring intense dust storms. However, it doesn't stop participants from visiting Burning Man and having fun.

The city has several streets and avenues, the main square, dance floors and art objects. People can use their own bikes, scooters or mutant vehicles to move around. There's nothing you can by there except for coffee and ice.

We live in Fernley, Nevada which is not that far from where Burning Man is held. Every day of the festival there are vehicles of all shapes and sizes driving down here to shop for food and mainly water. We usually go shopping late in the evening because Walmart's and Raley's are jam packed with festival participants. Anyone wanting to go, remember it does get very hot up there.

Dave Woodward, I've stopped in Fernley a bunch of times, but back then, near the Interstate, it was mainly lots of gas stations, and not a good place to be if they were out of gas!!!! I used to say Fernley was my Bermuda Triangle of Road travel... Ha Ha!!
