I quit watching all the awards shows because the actors quit thanking people and just use them for political statements.

Since when did Hollywood allow these award shows to become political fora? Don’t these people understand it’s uncouth to discuss politics in unknown audiences?

I attended at least four Academy Awards in Los Angeles and Hollywood in the 1960s as my father was an editor of Daily Variety. Those Academy Awards were wonderful...all people enjoyed being there - having a party after and no one spoke about politics...it was all about films and TV. Hollywood was much better back then.
