Wonders of the most beautiful planet in the universe

The mountain, always mysteriously hidden by clouds, is covered with almost impenetrable forests as if it's trying to hide all its secrets. This mountain was described in the novel "The Lost World" by Arthur Conan Doyle. According to the author, prehistoric animals lived there.

In the national park of Indonesia on the top of one volcano there are three absolutely different lakes. They have an amazing ability to change color, which according to ancient beliefs means changes in the mood of souls. Scientists believe that the main reason for the change of color is the effect of gases coming from the bottom. It's amazing that these lakes can take absolutely different shades - from sky-blue to deep green or blood-red. Climbing to the top, one can never foresee the view that will open to a traveler on that very day.

Each of the lakes has its own name and is surrounded by secrets and legends. According to the legends of locals, the Lake of Old People is the place where souls of good people fall after death, and usually it has shades of blue or white colors. The other two are Lake of Young Men and Maidens, characterized by all the shades of green, and Bewitched, into which the guilty people fall, that changes the colors from black to red.

Though it opens for visitors only 8 weeks a year, this place is one of the most beautiful ones where you can see large and small flowerbeds, fields and lakes, 7 million tulips and other amazing flowers.

Lencois Maranhenses is one of the most unusual deserts in the world, it is a rare geographical anomaly and at the same time a national park in the state of Maranhão, Brazil. The area, covering about 1000 square kilometers, consists of white silky sands, on which endless oases of turquoise lakes are situated.

This cave is the deepest in the world (2196 meters). It is located in Abkhazia, in the mountain range of Arabica. The cave was discovered in 1960 and continues to be researched. Throughout the cave there are many holes which lead to halls with stalactites and stalagmites and many beautiful underground lakes. Life has adapted even to the conditions of total darkness, and researchers still discover new organisms that turned out to be very ingenious in the depths of the Earth.

In one of the national parks of the USA (Yosemite, California) there is an incredible natural wonder - an amazing waterfall called Horsetail Fall. For most of the year this is just a falling stream, certainly very beautiful and spectacular, with a height of 480 meters and consisting of two flowing sleeves.

However, on a few days in February, the waterfall changes its color to golden-red, and it feels like it's not water but flows of lava that fall down the mountain.
