Desert bloom is a climate phenomenon that can occur in any desert. If the rainfall is quite sufficient it makes seeds germinate and bloom in spring.

I try to see the bloom in the Anza Borrego desert every spring. It is phenomenal and the fragrance can be experienced for miles. I hen try to go the same location later in the year and the contrast is remarkable - like two different planets.
