These 12 examples showed me 2 things, 1) Had no idea these item went as far back in history as they did. 2) Shows how far we have come since the firsts of these items.

Key punch machine; submit your decks of cards to be run for computer science class Spring semester, 1969. Card reader to read the cards submitted, main frame in its climate controlled room to run the program so submitted and read.

Paper tape machines and tape input machines. Used these in 1973 for my first computer course. Key punch machines and card readers. Went back to college in 1981 and these were in use.

Mavis Viragos, Cell Ph batteries die, as do the ones in those re-chargeable cordless phones. I maintain a connected landline which is the only manner in which I'll enter Card numbers . Even so; once I've done my business, I dial-up another Ph # just to ensure that all previous numbers are replaced. ( I'm 70-ish)

Alana King, I own an old upright Underwood typewriter which still works ! As for VCRs though, I have 1/2 a Doz or so as I realized that in the age of DVD there'd come a day when VCR repairmen ( and parts) would be hard to find. Folks were dumping perfectly good VCRs at Charities and I got some. Picture quality depreciates over time but I have Tapes to watch yet ! I now own a PVR but to avoid its' reaching 99% full; I have taped movies from it onto my VCR blanks to watch later. Reverse Tech, eh ? I guess I don't watch enough T.V. just save too much of it for later...

8-Track Tape Cartridges, being the first 'mobile' recorded music devices, were missed. They were about 4"W x 6"L x 1"H ( like a small paperback book ) and were recorded upon both sides of the tape, which would reverse direction at the end of the reel. They were replaced by the smaller Cassette Tapes, but I recall there being a transitional Adaptor made, whereby one could play the smaller Cassettes in the device which fit into the 8-Tracks' dashboard slot.
