10 strange and funny laws of the state of California

I have a hard time believing that there is only 10 Dumb laws in California. My guess is there is a lot more

10 more reasons that I’m glad I don’t live there!

It’s not just California - a lot of states and countries have bizarre and outdated laws e.g. in Texas, ‘it is illegal to take more than three sips of beer at a time while standing’. In Kentucky, ‘every citizen of is required to take a shower once a year’...oh and ‘Any person who appears on any highway, or upon the street of any city that has no police protection, when clothed only in ordinary bathing garb, shall be fined no less than five dollars nor more than twenty-five dollars’.

The San Francisco one about only keeping a car in your garage is pretty extreme. The L.A. one about needing the owner's permission to wash their car is fine. I don't want anyone doing anything to my car without my permission. Not allowing self-driven cars to go over 50 makes sense to me.

thevoyers, After seeing what Helene and Milton did to Florida, you'd have to be nuts to live there.

A couple of them actually make sense. But I don't know why any woman or man would put a bathrobe on a car.

The one about the bathrobe makes sense. You can get your legs caught in the robe and be unable to use the brake, etc.

Unusual laws or regulations in California.

Perhaps someone in the future will think of prohibiting sleep with open eyes.

Number 6 is ridiculous. Does the majority have self-driving cars there already?

Tina Marie Haddad Rhodes, I believe every state has some ridiculous laws. We should look them up!

The sad thing is have driven my car in my house robe to take my daughter to the hospital. Didn't know I was breaking the law.
