Do you remember your first job? Was it interesting or boring? In early days it's difficult to imagine what kind of career you will have. Let's take a look at the first jobs of US presidents in which they had no idea they'd become presidents.
#1 At the age of 16 George Washington was a surveyor in the Shenandoah Valley.
#2 John Adams was a schoolmaster before he entered a law school at 21.
#3 Abraham Lincoln worked as a general store clerk.
#4 When Lyndon B. Johnson was a child he worked as a shoe cleaner during his summer holidays.
#5 Richard Nixon worked as a butcher and chicken plucker when he was a child.
#6 Ronald Reagan was an unskilled labourer and a lifeguard. He also worked as an actor before entering politics.
#7 Benjamin Harrison was a court crier.
#8 At the age of 13 Bill Clinton worked as a grocer.
#9 Barack Obama worked as an ice cream scooper when he was a teenager.
