I've never heard of the word "eatable." I only remember the word edible. But I looked it up and it is used occasionally, so I can't whine and complain about it. I will still use edible though.

My friends and I went to a restaurant where the buffet was so beautiful we didn't want to eat! Each dish was sculpted into a piece of art...we did eat but after others filled their plates, lol

All wonderful creations, I'm sure very tasty, alas I couldn't start eating them and spoil the beauty also I would feel like a art killer. Compliments to the very good artist.
