I wonder how those of us who grew up in the forties managed to survive. We didn't worry about germs and we survived. I think we were stronger and healthier than many people today.

#6 Geez, I wish I knew cotton pillowcases were bad! I had no idea! If I did, I would have used silk decades ago, and maybe had some hair left on my head! It's all making sense now! :-)

Oh geezz! As a kid growing up my brothers and I were rough so we face planted off our bikes into the dirt and probably ate more dirt than we know! We are all still alive and well today! Mama said, "God made dirt and dirt don't hurt!" Like I said, we are all still alive and well...

Amazing advice, and look at those millennials now, antibacterial this, antimicrobial that, and still manage to have plenty of sick days, something ain’t working.

Much of this is OK advice, however some go to extremes. Antibacterial soaps, or even the rejection of bar soaps. I personally know of a case where just before the last born child the family when on this market oriented strip. That child was born with many allergies, not having gotten all the immunities that the previous births got. So, some of this is a mixed bag.

Jeri Lee Lazar, Unless you're a southpaw. In much of the world, the left hand is used without tp and then wiped off on some cloth. Should a child be born a southpaw, the parent will force it to use the right hand, since that hand is used for eating, etc.

Very useful. In years gone by...after playing outside...if you came in to often to wash your hands, your parent would usually say...you have to eat a bushel of dirt before you die. 🤔 Guess it works....I’m still here. 😅 gone

Heather Warbrick, Where do you get your sheets that you think $7.99 (the price of a silk pillowcase) is unaffordable? I am North American and I have a tough time getting cotton ones that inexpensively.
