The shape was not divided as the task asked. It was copied and pasted to make the same shape and therefore multiplied, NOT divided.

I thought we where to divide the original into 4 equal parts. Not add more parts. Do not get it.

Lets suppose this is a piece of delicious fudge I have to share with my 3 siblings. First cut forms 2 triangles. 2nd and 3rd cuts divide triangles into 4 pieces. *Grabs bigger triangle half.*

You have to change scale. The bigger picture is equivalent to the small one. Just scale copy it into the original figure and you get it! Got it???

Hahaha, a simple solution showing the easy way to get 4 parts.

Making It too complicated. Try this. In your head, just shrink the bigger shape he created (with the interior lines showing 4 equal parts) down until it's the same size as the original shape. Use the same lines to divide the original into 4 equal parts.

This multiplies the original shape, doesn't divide it. If you had a pizza this shape and wanted to divide it equally among 3 friends and yourself, the demonstrated "solution" sure wouldn't work!

It’s good. You don’t need dimensions, it’s the SHAPE that is divided into four equal parts. The video just demonstrates how the division works.

It didn’t make any sense! At least the explanation.

Yes, the original directive was not met. The solution was to reproduce the original shape.

Ambiguous. I looked at it one way as a trapezoid, but then it also appeared as a rectangle. It says to divide into 4 equally smaller parts. Based on the demo, how are they smaller? The four parts were mirrors of the original.

It only appeared that they added parts, only because they used the original shape to form three other similar shapes. They still all fit into the original as smaller sizes of the original shape! I thought this was fairly obvious. But then, I'm a limey!

Not very clear on the task at hand, they seem to do this alot, they expect us to guess what they mean.

Jeannie Fontana, I agree! Divide doesn't mean add parts. Thats akin to 5+5= "Solution" 5+5_3÷6=

Very clever! Shows how to take 4 of the same piece, piece it together to make the exact original shape. Then you know how to divide the original piece into 4 exact pieces.

The video multiplied the shape, not divided into four equal portions. How about some dimensions in the diagram, then it could be done properly. THIS SUCKED THE BIG ONE.
