To Christopher Skinner The equation in question 3 is 6X-10=4(X+3). Eleven is the correct answer. 6 x 11 = 66 subtract 10 and you get 56. You always perform the operation inside of parentheses first so 11 + 3 equals 14 then multiply by 4 and you get 56. Eleven is the correct value for X.

Question 3 is incorrect 6x 11= 66 and 4x+3=47

13 correct- 7th grade stuff..

These are confusing, when it comes to the 'x' equations. Didn't do it this way in UK.

Not good at this, as not taught this at school, 65 years ago - so all guessing.

13/13 rather surprised at that, was never very good at maths in general, there again every so often in normal life I have used algebra to sort something out so I must have got a good grasp of it.
