Steve Kemp, I agree but do not follow our logic. For me the difference between the people is 2 times the hypotenuse of a right angle triangle of 5ft and 12ft which equals the square root of 144 + 25 =169 =13.

Question 11 is wrong, if they walk 5 feet, then the distance between then is 10 feet, they turn and walk 12 feet, so the sideways difference is 24 feet, the square root of 24squared plus 10 squared is 26. For the given (incorrect) answer, the distances between them would need to be 5ft and 12ft which is not what the question asks.

I thought I was going crazy with Q11 until I got to here. The rest were pretty easy for this type of quiz (as was Q11 except someone got the answer incorrect).
