Todd Cates, I'm guilty of that too! From time I was in elementary school til I went to college at 39 yo, seems like the rules changed! When I was younger I wud have placed commas between red and blue then another before and. But I knew from college writing classes it wasn't considered necessary before the and. English language confusing!

Bonnie , command doesn't hafta be barked like a Sargent to be a command. It's simply telling you what to do. "James put a bean in the jar" is a statement. "You (understood) place cotton in the jar" is a command."
