mikeyparry, MOST of these measurements were used in all countries of British Empire - NOT just Nth America. In Australia as a kid at school in 1950's we were taught only Imperial measures.

Most of the world no longer use a lot of these antiquated measures! Some of them were never used anywhere in the world apart from North America!

8/10. Don’t agree with centigrade/ Fahrenheit answer. Accept that actual temperature of 1 degree C is equal to 33.8F , BUT that is not the answer to the actual question.

The metric system came to Canada long after I went to school and it still confuses me...I know the basics of the metric system and find myself converting it to the measurements I know, lol.

R Yancey, NO, it is just 1.8. One is not asked to convert Ferenheit to Centigrade.

Didn't finish
1 degree Centigrade = (1 X 1.8) + 32 or 33.8 degrees Ferenheit.

To Ken Brown
Centigrade to Ferenheit conversion is degrees Centigrade X 9/5 or 1.8 plus 32. 1 degree Centigrade = 1 X 1.8)
