Only 7/18 today, so am going backwards, unfortunately. I actually don't know some of these birds. Good to see answers though, thank you.

9/18 - as a Brit this is a good score for me, as don't now many of these birds, at all. Used common sense, where I could.

I grew up in Ohio and knew that the cardinal was the state bird. I wasn't however aware that Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia had also named the cardinal the state bird. Well done.
