Totally agree, #8 is very, very wrong. Not sure when they first asked this question but there are at least 19% and probably more that are enrolled in college. Shame on those who researched this question. I worked for a Native American tribe and they totally support all their students that want to go to college. In fact, the three women that head the tribe are all college graduates and have at least a Master's degree.

Jim Wilson, Agreed. Closer to 25% attend college. Perhaps the question was trying to ask what % of all college students are American Indians. If so, it is very poorly worded.

Question 8 is just plain wrong! 19-26% of Native Americans 18-24 attend college. Did the author mean what percent of all college students are Native American? That's NOT what he/she asked!

7/8 I took a North American Indian class in college, picked up more along the way and remembered more than I thought I would. Indian, Native American, history needs to be taught in our public schools. Including the attempt by the powers-that-be to wipe out any trace of their culture. There are times when I am not proud of my American heritage. But acknowledging our mistakes is the first step in rectifying them.

5/8. Very informative commentary! Even when growing up in Germany, American Indian tribes and their culture have always intrigued me. Sad what happened to them, and apparently still is. 1% college attendance speaks for itself. I hope that casino money distribution to some tribes may improve that in the future. 🙄
