These driving rules are by no means exclusively Australian. As George Oliver Prince remarked, they are mostly common sense.

My Mum was from Adelaide and I took her home once. Drove around quite a bit and found it's pretty much like the U.S. except they drive on the "wrong" side of the road...like the Brits.

All common sense. I’ve never been to Australia. I know they drive on the “other” side of the road so made allowances for that, and I’ll admit to cheating slightly on the questions about the meters allowed when parking. I had to convert meters to feet on google.
