William Laughlin
Elsy O. Stromberg,
There are NO black and white scenes in the finished product of The Wizard of Oz!
The Oz sequences were filmed in three-strip Technicolor.
The opening and closing credits, Kansas sequences, and the scene where Aunt Em appears in the Wicked Witch's crystal ball were filmed in black and white and then COLORED IN SEPIA.
In some scenes, the set was actually painted in a sepia tone.
Raging Bull was the Black and White film.
