I hate phones,especially cell phones. My Wife uses one,but if she forgets it,even in the driveway,it stays home. I hate it when people get in my way with a phone glued to their ear.

Actually, I am one of the very few, that do not own a smart phone, I still have a flip phone! I do use my tablets alot, but only when I am in a place where there is free wifi accsess

I'm not attached to my samsung. Yet friends and relatives are. Yet when I text or call them, there's a much delayed response. Why is that?

Of course I would survive. My phone is not attached to me unlike my girlfriends which would be surgically attached if possible. Manners have gone down the gurgler because of the attention given to phones. No need to be available 24/7.
