With the exception of Algeria and perhaps Cuba, why would you want to?

Interesting that the comment on Iran says '..an incident in 1979..' the 'incident' was just after the revolution that ousted the Shah, and a group of Iranian students held 52 American diplomats and employees hostage for 444 days.

This, sadly, demonstrates isolationism at its worst. Most of the countries shown here a Muslim countries (exceptions are N. Korea and Cuba) who need to carefully monitor anyone coming into their countries. The news is full of stories about bombings and other forms of treachery. I hope someday will come a peaceful coexistence between all nations and all religious affiliations, God willing.

I wouldn't want to go to any of these except Algeria. I would have thought they and Cuba would welcome visitors.

As an Aussie we had to get to Cuba via the US, no problem just a long wait for the connecting flight from Dallas. Had a great time except for the Tortoise (no not Turtle) stew lunch. The next few days of travel were interesting to say the least, thank God for Cuban rum.

Raniah Capetilo, Saudi Arabia is a very strict, conservative country. The men and women must eat separately. The women are not allowed to go out alone and must always be accompanied by a male relative. The thieves can get their hand chopped off. The crime rate there is low, though.

I visited Iran some 45 years ago. Even then Westerners were really not welcome. We did not stay.

David Hill, their beaches are among the most breathtaking in the world. They are a friendly, easy-going people. The resort food is soso, but you can always find something good.

I'm a dual citizen (Canada & US). I find it better to travel as a Canadian in many situations.

Who wants to visit where you are not really welcome. There are plenty of other places to spend your money where you are welcome and don’t have to constantly look over your shoulder.

Paul Henderson, It's always nice to hear complementary comments from our northern neighbours. However, I've always known that Canadians are polite is a myth.
