Powerful Iceland: the land of volcanoes, valleys and geysers

This volcanic island in the Atlantic with its magnificent landscapes seems to be a part of another planet. Having visited Iceland once, people can't help falling in love with this mythical kingdom.

They say, Icelanders still believe in elves. This is not surprising: this land is full of legends. The language Icelanders speak nowadays hasn't changed from the ancient times, so they are still able to read thousand-year-old texts. Another interesting fact is that Iceland was one of the last territories on Earth to be inhabited by people. Still doubt this island is an unearthly miracle? Just look at these amazing photos and be careful: they may leave you breathless.

Have you ever visited Iceland? Do you find its landscapes beautiful? We are waiting for your comments!

I visited in 2016. A totally amazing place with such diverse things to experience. We were lucky to see the Northern lights too twice . They were like standing under a giant pink and green umbrella . Swam in a geothermal pool for ages till pink and crinkly. Waited for a geyser to erupt and jumped when it did every 5 minutes or so. And absolutely NO litter...! Put it on your bucket list people..! 👍💕

With the widespread availability of geothermal power, and the harnessing of many rivers and waterfalls for hydroelectricity, most residents have access to inexpensive hot water, heating, and electricity. They also sell electric power to part of Europe through their geothermal plants. A rather impressive sight how it's being produced. Yes it's an enchanting island worth visiting.
