Lack of sleep: what can it do to your life?

Sleeping problems can be really harmful. Statistically, nearly a third of the world's population are sleep-deprived. It affects our emotional state and cognitive abilities. Here are 7 dangerous effects of sleep loss.



So, we strongly recommend you to get enough sleep every night. The first steps to sleep longer and better are:

  • establishing a sleep routine
  • exercising during the day
  • eating no less than 3 or 4 hours before bedtime
  • not consuming caffeine
  • using the bathroom right before bedtime

Thank you for that information. Blinking many times before bed can help. Breathing through the nose and out of the mouth 7 times is relaxing. For me meditation 10-15 minutes before sleep works all the time. Find ways to clear your mind of concerns and worries. Put them next to you on the bed side table, you can always grab them the next morning. Try this anyway.

I'm an insomniac and sleep 4-5 hours per day,usually from 3:00-4:00 to 7:00 or 8:00. I usually get 7-8 hours once or twice per week and all meds I've tried have failed.
