Society Story: Introverts vs. Extroverts - they really see the world differently

It's hard for an introvert to understand extroverts and vice versa. These pictures will show you how the two personality types see the same situations.

#1 Showing your strengths at work:

Introverts prefer to work alone at their desk and can come up with brilliant ideas themselves. As to extroverts, teamwork fills them with energy.

Most introverts don't like small talk. And extroverts usually have so much to talk about!

#3 Hanging out with the best friend:

Introverts like spending quality time with their friends at home, while most extroverts have fun only when they go out.

#4 On a rainy day:

Extroverts may feel depressed because of the bad weather, while most introverts love rainy days.

#5 The leadership style:

First of all, it's a myth that an introvert can't become a good leader - they just have their own leadership style. Introverts prefer to analyze and evaluate their teammates' ideas and select the best one. As to extroverts, they usually believe their own ideas are always a win.

#6 What you usually do at home:

For most introverts, their home is a place where they do everything: work, have rest, get inspired, and hide from the rest of the world when it's needed. Extroverts come home just to relax after a long day (and they usually come late). The most interesting things happen to extroverts outside their apartment.

#7 At the end of the day:

To recharge, introverts need some time alone. Extroverts absorb positive energy from others.

#8 Going on a hiking trip:

Being alone in nature makes introverts feel alive. Hiking and camping with friends is more enjoyable to extroverts.

#9 Taking risks:

Extroverts are never afraid of challenges. Even when an introvert decides to accept one, it's hard for them to overcome the fear of failure.

#10 Still, introverts and extroverts can be best friends and complement each other.

Although most people probably think I'm an extrovert, nothing could be further from the truth. I know how to navigate in a world where being an extrovert is prized, but I am always happiest working alone. And after being out with friends or a work situation, I yearn for quiet of my home. Recently I read a great book called "Quiet, The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking" by Susan Cain. Great insights into the pros and cons of both types of people.

I'm a bit of both but err more on the introvert side. Also it's worth remembering that many 'extroverts' are people who are over compensating to hide their lack of confidence eg. The loudest person at a party is often the person who lacks confidence, while the introvert quietly sits and surveys the scene before them because they have the confidence to sit alone and 'people watch'..... Anyone agree?

I am a bit of both. I don`t like small talk and I need some time alone. I think introverts make excellent leaders, because they are capable to evaluate a person capacity quicker than an extrovert. Also, they are very independent and rely on their own decisions.
